Paprika (“the App”) is a calorie tracking application developed by Nemanja Tanaskovic (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Your food logs, weight data, and health goals are stored primarily on your device. If you opt in to syncing, this data may be stored in our cloud infrastructure to enable cross-device access.

To provide calorie and macro tracking functionality.
To analyze food descriptions using AI and return accurate nutritional information.
To display your progress and weight trends over time.
To improve the App based on aggregated, anonymized usage data.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

RevenueCat — Manages in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase data through the Apple App Store. See their privacy policy.
TelemetryDeck — Privacy-first analytics. Collects anonymous usage data without personal identifiers. See their privacy policy.
OpenAI API — Used to analyze food descriptions and provide nutritional breakdowns. Food descriptions you enter are sent to OpenAI for processing. See their privacy policy.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally on your device by default. If you enable cloud sync, data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
